The Project
The Dogist was created in 2013 with one simple mission: to illuminate the story of dogs. Nine years later, the project has garnered an audience of over 4.1 million fans on social media, has become a NYT Bestselling book, and has created an apparel line, a podcast, and a philanthropic initiative – The Dogist Fund. The Dogist celebrates the joy our canine friends bring to us every day, and today is no different. Photographer Elias Weiss Friedman and team are very excited to announce the launch of The Dogist NFT Project.
With a photographic catalogue of over 50,000 dogs (thanks to you!), embarking upon this new journey seemed like a no-brainer.
The Dogist NFT project will not only enable a deeper connection with our dog-loving community, but it will also inspire those within it to forge meaningful relationships with each other. There is so much in store, including membership access to exclusive channels, gamification (the first ever virtual dog show on Web3!), apparel, IRL events, and more.
Access will be available to the public via The Dogist Collection, a curated selection of unique dog portraits, released in quarterly drops of 250. Additionally, if your dog has been on The Dogist and is featured in one of our drops, you will be able to join The Owners Club. As a verified owner, you will get premiere access to special community forums and privileges, signed prints, and outtakes from your dog's photoshoot.
The Collection
Dogs come in a vast array of shapes and sizes, and they’re all one of a kind. We’ve combed through The Dogist archive and dug up thousands of dogs from every breed, color, outfit, expression, etc., and will be releasing them onto the blockchain in batches of 250 at a time. Each dog is 1/1 and comes with its own unique set of attributes, determined by the actual dog Elias met and photographed in person.
Dogs within The Collection will be eligible to compete in Best in Show (aka Bark Madness), the first ever virtual dog show on Web3. NFT owners will also have access to exclusive merch, community Discord channels, IRL events, and more.

The Owners Club
The best people are dog people (that's what we think, at least!). Since 2013, Elias has traveled the world and photographed over 50,000 dogs and met their humans - no two are the same and neither are their stories.
If Elias had the privilege of meeting you and your dog and then featured them on The Dogist, you are eligible to join The Dogist Owners Club. After verifying your dog was featured, you'll be able to mint your dog's NFT – each one uniquely signed by Elias.
